What is the secret to making money online? This is something many people around the world want to know. Today I am going to share with you what I have discovered in this subject while making money online.
Actually, I am going to share TWO secrets! The first one is:
There are a lot of people out there that has the nerve to claim that making money online is easy and all you need to do is spend (for example) $149 to buy a piece of software (or program) that will make you rich with no effort on your part. You have probably run into these guys at some point online? They lure you in with fake testimonials and fake screenshots of accounts that show earnings of thousands of dollars per day and tell you something like “Anyone can do this! Buy this program now!”
The thing that is most sad about this is that these “products” are the best sellers online. People fall for this bullshit all the time.
The one/s behind these (often very convincing) sales page laugh all the way to the bank while you are stuck with bad advice, no support, and a $149 charge on your credit card. And the when you are about to give up, they come back with one upsell after another.
They will tell you, “The reason why you didn´t make money is that you forgot to buy our VIP support package and super duper ultra deluxe add-on software! It only costs another $2,995! It is cheap because you are going to make millions within two months!
This kind of scams makes me angry. Every day people “fall victim” to these scam marketers online.
You have to understand that there are no guarantees when it comes to making money online. There is no “magic” program or software that you can run that will automatically bring the money into your bank account each month. Anyone telling you that such things exist are lying to you and are only after your money.
But do not get it twisted, however. There ARE real ways of making money online and it can be very profitable, but it involves WORK.
When I started out trying to make money online, it took about 3months before I made my first $8. But after that, it started to happen things!
After 8months, I made enough money to be able to quit my 9-5 (that I had the whole time while doing the internet thing on the side).
So I simply just quit my “normal” 9-5 and started doing my living completely online. It´s been about 1,5 years now and I am making much more money online that I have ever done with any “normal” 9-5 job.
How did I do to achieve this? I found good training and I worked my ass off until I reached my goal.
The thing is, Internet Marketing is nothing you have to study or take classes in a “normal” school to do. I reached out for help online and paid money for training. I did not understand anything at all about how and what to do at first, but I learned how to build an online business, and how to make it grow.
So, if you want my advice? Stop looking for something “magically” that will make you money just by pushing a button. It does NOT exist.

2. Set Small, Achievable Goals
This secret is just like the first one you have to “understand the reality”. I see many people think (and expect) that they can replace a regular full time salary instantly. When they set their goals it many times look something like this:
- Decide to start making money online
- Become rich
That is totally fine of course, but you need to do a lot of small things before you will reach that BIG goal. You need to set up small goals (that are faster and easier to achieve).
You need to understand that building up an online business online takes time. There is no solution out there that is going to make you money from the start, regardless of how much you invest.
The best thing you can do is to set small, achievable goals and build from there… Think of it this way, if you grow 1inch every day it might not seem as much… But in one month that is a remarkable change, after 3months, it is a BIG change, and after 1 year it is a HUGE change!
This could be a good list of goals for example…
- Decide to start an online business
- Begin training, understanding the process, & getting comfortable
- Build your very first website
- Create a nr of articles to fill your website
- Learn how to get these articles listed and ranked in Google
- Attract visitors to your site and grow traffic
- Connect with advertisers (to make it possible to make money from your site)
- Start making $1/day
- Discover new ways of getting people to your site
- Grow to $5/day
- Connect with readers by creating a Facebook fan page or Twitter account
- Increase income to $10/day
- Guest blog and increase your online presence
- Go for $1,000 per month
- Create your own product to sell
- Start new projects and expand
- Celebrate your success
As you can see, this list is much more defined, and makes it a lot easier (and more likely) to achive you BIG end goals, whatever they might be. It can take days or sometimes even weeks to complete each and every goal on this list, but the point is that you are always have something to accomplish and work at instead of just aiming for a BIG, seemingly unachieavable, goal.
