What do you want to accomplish? Do you want to know how to accomplish something? I think you probably have a thing or two you want to do in life.
Maybe you just want to change something? A behavior, your weight, your financial situation, anything!
Do you want something out of life? Or do you just want to play video games, party every weekend, watch tv, hang out on social media?
If that is what you want, congratulations they are all easy to accomplish, it doesn´t take any effort to do those things. They won´t get you anywhere, but if that is what you want, ok. That´s fine.
I don´t think that is what you really want. 🙂
I think many times, it can feel like things are “out of reach” for people when they, in fact, are more than possible. I remember that I used to think that way too, some years back in time.
Now, I know that you can do pretty much anything you want in life if you want to. How? You just do it!
How To Accomplish Something
Whatever it is you want to do, you have to realize that it will take you some time. Nothing happens “overnight” at least nothing great.
For example, you want to lose 50pounds, no problem it is not hard to do it, but it will take time. How do you do it? You start losing a small amount of weight every day.
For example, if you lose (let´s say) 0,05 pounds every day, take 0,05 x 1000 days. That is 50 pounds. If you lose 0,05 pounds every day you have eventually lost 50 pounds in 1000 days.
1000 days is almost 3 years, that was just an example. You can of course do it faster, how? lose more every day. Try to lose 0,10 pounds every day, then it will only take 500 days for you to lose the 50pounds you want to get rid of.
This Goes For Anything!
Want to learn a new language? Practice it every day for 1 hour, and after 1 year you can (without a doubt) visit a country where they speak that language and talk to and understand people there.
Practice it for 2 hours per day instead and you will be VERY good both talk and understand it after 1 year.
Practice it for 4 HOURS every day and people will think that you actually live in that country when you are on a 2-week vacation (for example).
This is how you become good and accomplish ANYTHING in life!
Nothing comes by itself, you have to put in the time, and when you do, the only thing that can happen is that you get better. The more time you put in the better you WILL get, at WHATEVER you want to get good at.
Many small things eventually add up to something BIG.
If you want to get better fast, do many small things more often, every day if you can and you will get good at anything fast. This is a law of the universe and IT WORKS.
Do you get the point? If not, maybe Al Pacino can explain it better 😉
Life is a game of inches!

Hi John. I really like the Any Given Sunday short video of Al Pacino telling the team they can fight their way back inch by inch.
Like you I believe you can learn anything or achieve what you want by working at it daily and consistently. It’s how I’ve succeeded in the things i have wanted.
I like how you use THIS PLACE at the end. It stands out and took me to your review on Wealthy Affiliate so I can see how I can get to what I want in life.
Why the Al Pacino video as opposed to someone like Tony Robbins?
John says
Lol! I don´t know why I didn´t put a Tony Robbins video instead, guess I was in the mood for Al Pacino 🙂 That speech really pumps me up 🙂

John,
This resonates with me deeply. What you have described is simply the “compound effect” as Jeff Olson likes to describe it in his book, The Slight Edge. If you haven’t read it, I would strongly recommend! It is one of my favorites!
Taking action is not only enough, but acting on a consistent basis is the key! Great post…..Inspirational!

Thank you, going to check out that book!

I agree! Learning something, accomplishing something, they all take time. If it is done really quick, then maybe it’s not worth doing it.
You have a nice message. It makes people realize that we can achieve what we want if we work on it constantly. It is not a one off act but actions, even small ones, when repeated on a regular basis would soon add up to something great. Inspiring message!
