I’m not a scientist and neither do I pretend to be, however, I got some “experience“ in cannabis, and am well aware of the health benefits, and for the past 10 months, I have also been trying out different CBD oils on the market, CBD isolates, water-soluble CBD, and different kinds in general.

How is the CBD oil made?
The CBD oil is made by using supercritical and subcritical CO2 extraction methods as it is the best way to extract CBD from hemp oil. The reason for this is that you can be sure that there are no solvents or chemicals in the product.
First, the oil is extracted at a low temperature to remove volatile oils that are more sensitive to temperature. Then, in the next step, a higher temperature and pressure is used to extract the rest of the oils.
This special extraction method leads to a significantly more potent blend, giving you a greater range of terpenes, phytochemicals, and cannabinoids.

Why NuLeaf Naturals is different? (The interesting part)
Most CBD oil providers out there are offering CBD isolates, the reason they are a popular choice among users is mainly that they might dislike the natural hemp flavour, or they are looking for a more immediate effect. Also, CBD users who are worried about THC showing up on drug tests might feel encouraged to go with isolate as it contains less THC than oil.
However, the high purity factor of CBD isolates acts both as an advantage and a disadvantage.
While it is true that isolate is the purest form of CBD, it has also gone through different processes to remove THC, terpenes and other cannabionoids from the final product… and this comes at a cost…
In short, the effect will NOT be as great as if you would have left all the natural components alone…

What is a Full Spectrum Extract?
It has been a long-accepted notion that when it comes to herbal health remedies, the therapeutic value of an entire plant is far more than the sum of its parts. In the case of hemp, the “parts” are all of the cannabinoids and other compounds that are not strictly CBD, but act in unison to heighten CBD’s effectiveness and provide a more beneficial experience. This is known as the “entourage effect”, and it is the primary reason why so many CBD experts recommend a full-spectrum tincture above all other alternatives.
In an oft-cited pivotal study published in the scientific journal Pharmacology & Pharmacy in 2015, researchers at the Hadassah Medical School at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem lent further credence to the entourage effect as it applies to hemp, concluding that “limitation with purified CBD could be overcome when presented together with other natural components of the plant” (R. Gallily et. al).
There are over 400 chemical compounds present in cannabis, more than 60 of which are cannabinoids. Given this, it comes as no surprise that removing these compounds to create a pure CBD isolate also reduces the overall utility that would otherwise be provided by a whole-plant CBD extract.
Although the many benefits of CBD are by now well-established, there is still limited scientific evidence surrounding cannabinoids, their inter-dependencies, and how they work together to provide a more effective product. As the market for CBD continues to expand, more light will be shed in this arena, but for now, it is safe to say that a full-spectrum extract is a preferred method for getting the most out of your CBD experience.
CBD: Isolate vs. Extract Oil
Like most other plant extracts, CBD comes in many forms–from crystalline isolates to tinctures to dermal patches and topical salves–even suppositories. Whatever your preferred method of administering CBD is, chances are that there’s a product out there that will fit your needs. CBD oil tinctures and isolates tend to be the most popular, however, they differ from each other significantly.
Crystalline CBD isolate is cannabidiol in its purest form, up to 99.9%. It is what’s left after virtually everything else in the hemp plant—THC, terpenes, oil and chlorophyll—have been removed. This makes it the most potent form of CBD available. Ok, I think that sums up this review of NuLeaf Naturals pretty good. This is absolutely a legit company and also got the absolute best CBD oil I have tried so far. Personally, I am a sensetive person, for example, I workout a lot, and I use creatin in periods.
Most people don´t feel the effect of creatin right away, it normally takes them 2-3 weeks to feel strenght increase, however, I feel the increase on day 1 of using it, and it is the same with CBD for me…
I feel a well-being feeling, and even though I have felt this with almost all CBD oils I have tried so far, the NuLeaf Naturals CBD is the one that has been the absolute best feeling one so far.
I get in a better mood, my eczema has disappeared and I do not need creatin to get energy in the gym if I put it like that and I not only think but I am sure that it is due to the CBD oil, no doubt about that.
I also like their website, it is no “hype” and flashy shiny objects to be found, but more of a down to earth approach.

I think the marketing of CBD products and the associated literature exceeds the of the data that would come from medical research and clinical trials to determine product efficacy. Anecdotal evidence generally will not be supported by long-term research. So until research on product efficacy is complete, we won’t know if the stuff works or not. For those potential buyers in the U.S., the DEA has classified CBD as a Schedule 1 drug. So it is illegal to buy online. I doubt they will clamp down on the sellers because they are focused on narcotics coming into the country via the southern and other borders. Just sayin’.

I read your article “What is NuLeaf Naturals” partly because it’s located just a stone’s throw from my home here in Denver, and partly because I have a friend who swears by the stuff. It’s true that many of the benefits being claimed are yet to be confirmed through research (which is difficult to do, given the animosity our current government has toward cannabis in general), but his experience with it certainly piques my interest. I would like to know more about HOW you use the product. I take it, since you mention taste several times, that it is ingested. Is there a recommended dosage? A method of ingesting it in tea or food?
First of all, thank you for your comment, and agree totally with what you say about the governments “animosity” about this topic.
The way I use it is simply dropping it under my tongue, leave it there for 1 minute and then swallow it. Currently, I take it once in the morning, and then I take it once in the afternoon… I avoid taking it later than around 6-7 as I might have trouble sleeping if I take it too late as it makes me productive and wanting to do things :o)
I started out by taking 5 drops in the morning and then 5 in the afternoon.
Now I take 10 on each occasion instead… But this is individual and something you have to try yourself towards, to find your own prefered dosage… I would recommend starting out with 5 each time though, as it is no danger to it
As a rule of thumb (I would say), if you take to much you will feel tired.
Normally it takes 2-3 weeks to feel the effect, however, I felt the effect from day 1, I actually got a bit “dissy” the first time for 30 minutes but after that, I just felt a very nice well being, almost like a warm happy feeling…

It was really interesting to read about CBD oils in your post, and it seems the jury may still be out on whether they work or not. With that said, if people are getting beneficial results from them (anecdotal evidence or not) then that in itself may be a positive thing.
After all, it’s about quality of life, and if using CBD oil at least makes you feel better then I’m all for it. At least the company you reviewed have a track record and seem legitimate. I’d much rather buy from them than from some unknown source.

It is no doubt that Cannabis oil is helpful in treating some illnesses and improving one’s health. But since it has been proven in the past that the use of this leaf has an untoward effect of either a depressant or stimulant (depending on the mood of a person), in the College of Pharmacy I went to during college it was categorized as a “depressant drug”, would it be possible that by the oil alone derived from this leaf, a person can develop abusive use of this product?
Interesting question and this can (most likely) vary from person to person I would say, however, for me it is something that gets me in a better mood and makes the “walking against the wind” a lot easier… Lol! I can actually find myself singing for myself some days from this CBD lol!

The stigma that surrounds CBD will only diminish as awareness is increased in the product itself. I have found that this article does just that. I don’t pretend to understand the processes involved with the manufacturing of the oils or isolates but I now have a better knowledge of some of the things I should be on the look out for. This is a well written article about a product I am interested in, John! During my youth, I had occasionally self medicated and have had relief in problems with joint pain.
