Todays post is going to be about something named Powur. What is Powur? A pyramid scam or a legit opportunity? Something for you or not? Worth your time? Why is it being so heavily promoted on Instagram and Facebook? Ok, it is a solar Company, it comes out as an opportunity for anyone to make a fortune and helping the world become a better place in the same time, sounds amazing in my ears. However, is it really that simple? These are some of the questions this short Review are going to try to answer. Ok, here we go!
Product: Powur
Website: www.powur.com
Owner: Jonathan Budd
Price: Not that clear
Who is it for: MLM enthusiasts in first hand
Overal rating: (2 / 5)
P.S.
Learn about a real solar energy investing opportunity here (expected returns of 10%-20% per year)
What Is Powur About?
When you land on the Powur website it all looks awesome and Amazing. Statements like “we are putting solar panels on 2 million homes by 2025 and we pay you $100,000,000 to do it” sounds like a dream, right? I mean who wouldn´t want to be a part of that? How is this going to be done?
Well, the structure is not that clear on their website, however when you dig just a little deeper into the opportunity it becomes pretty obvious that the structure of it is… an MLM model.
MLM´s are business models that I pretty much NEVER recommend, however… Solar energy is something that is very close to my heart and something I believe in to a hundred percent…
How Does It Work?
The product to be sold here is obviously solar power, or solar panels that will be installed on houses across USA.
Important to mention: All states are not included, only the ones that (Powurs parner) SolarCity are located in. They are spreading even into other countries now, not very clear on the website though to exactly what countries though.
Your job (as a Power agent) will be to contact house owners and convince them into getting their house roofs kited with solar panels. If you get them to agree to such an installation you will get a commission from the sale from Powur.
So it is not a wild guess that your chances of doing good has a lot to do with how much knowledge you got in the solar subject… and your sales pitch.
If you got those things on point you might be in a better position to make this business work for you… if not you are probably better of not even trying.
In short, your job is going to be about how to get more solar leads and then get more and more… Is that all?
The MLM Side Of Powur
Just like in any MLM business your success not only depends on how good you are Selling… It also depends on how good results your “downline” producess… This is also the main reason why Powur (and other MLMs) are being promoted like crazy on Instagram and Facebook for example.
This is the part of MLM that I don´t like as your income is not really controlled by yourself but also but the ones that you have recruited to do the same work as you do.
When you start of in Powur, you start with the initial “rank” and then as you move up you get a higher rank and so on. To climb this ladder you are gonna have to recruit others to the program. The ones you recruit have to make sales also and on their end recruit others aswell and so on.
If you are able to do this then you are heading for the “big earnings” if not you will (most likely) not earn that good.
It ain´t that clear on their website exactly how this works but it is somewhat explained on their presentation video.
Is Powur A Scam?
So, is Powur a scam? No, it is not a scam it is simply an MLM business that sells solar panel installations. That is legit as far as I know, it has real owners and a real Product that are being sold. however I pretty much never recommend MLM´s anyway. Maybe if you are very good at networking and also are very knowledgable on the solar subject but only then… Maybe…
Why You Should/Should Not Start With Powur
Like I mentioned above, if you are very knowledgeable in the solar niche AND also got “MLM skills” and know how to do networking and generate solar leads it might be something for you.
If you only got a burning desire to help spreading solar then, should you start with Powur then?
Well, I would say no anyway, there are other ways you can do this. One of my best recommendations is that you create your own website and start spreading it on your own. That way you can also sell solar products or services like installations and such and make Commissions aswell WITHOUT being dependent on recruiting others (that has to do a great job also).
If that is something you are interested in then I strongly recommend that you create your own online solar business instead.
Working in any MLM business Always sounds more easy than it is when you look at it.
However, when you start to try recruiting people (that has to work good) the hard reality hits you that it is NOT easy in ANY way.
Final Words And Verdict On Powur
Verdict: Legit (but NOT recommended)
Overall rating: (2 / 5)
Powur is a legit business but I Think I have made my Point pretty clear on why you should or should not get started with it.
I would have given a lower rating if it wasn´t for the fact that the product they sell (solar panel installations) is something that I like A LOT and strongly believe in for our worlds future development.
I rarely give MLMs a higher rating than a 2/10 on my rewiews so 4/10 has to be considered a very good rating for an MLM on this blog (StartMakeStopWaste.com).
Another Way To Make Money From ANY Passion You Might Have
As I mentioned earlier in this post, you can create a full-time income from Selling solar Products or services without having to get involved into MLM.
As a matter of fact you can create a full-time income around ANY interest that you might have without getting involved in MLM.
It is nothing that will happen overnight though and you are going to have to put in both time and effort Before it can happen but the good news is that absolutely anyone can do it, there is no need for any former experience or any of that. You can get step-by-step instructions and support all the way.
If that sounds like something you are interested in doing I strongly recommend you to read the only Review we have made on this blog that has got the overall rating 10/10.

Hi John,
Being involved in a MLM like that would certainly be rewarding in more ways than one as you are earning money and helping the environment. It certainly seems like the product backing the MLM program is one that is certainly on the rise and has longevity.
It would be much better, in my humble opinion, if there was an affiliate program as I really don’t like MLM.
John says
Yeah I absolutely agree with you on that Derek, am not a fan of MLMs either.
Thanks for your comment man

While I can appreciate much of the information you present, as well as parts of the comments made, you’ll need to revamp and rewrite your article to reflect the new model that Powur presents. The “old” model meant that the affiliates of Powur could only use SolarCity as the solar system provider and installer.
This is now long gone and Powur has partnered with multiple new solar providers (25 as of Jan 27/2017) across the US. The next phase of expansion includes Powur going international. That includes Canada where I’m located.
FYI I am personally a member of Powur and have built a team of over 400 from a country where none of the solar providers are active yet.
Yes it takes work however, of all the different opportunities (6) I’ve attempted over the past four years this is by far the easier (especially with PowurPress) most lucrative and rewarding.
I live in an off grid cabin in the woods of Nova Scotia and have built a successful Powur business from there. I believe that with the right motivation, determination and information regarding Powur anyone can find success. It can be noted as well that the compensation model has drastically improved based on the inclusion of multiple new solar partners.
Thanks for the post re Powur and I look forward to reading your revised post in the future.
Cheers,
Steve Barnes

I find it so cool that you live in an off grid cabin in the woods man! That’s simply awesome!
Thanks for your update on power, will have a look at the upgraded version.
/Thanks again

Sorry Sam does not tell you the truth or the whole story. The program costs close to $2,000 to start, and the false promises are many. If you are a tech wiz, if you want to spend at least another $5,000 in initial costs, if you are a sales and video professional, and if you want to run afoul of the IRS, then join the fools that fall for the false promises. If you want the real truth contact me at schnitx66@yahoo.com.

Sorry Rick, (who the hell is Sam?) you seem to have dropped in on a comment section and decided to type an entire paragraph in an attempt to reply to something & someone that has absolutely nothing to do with Powur or this Review.
*John, after you have had a chance to re-educate yourself about Power, please consider deleting the B.S. Rick posted on your site. FYI, I will be contacting Mr. Budd and asking him to consider visiting your blog to review your review in hopes that you will be better informed as you consider updating it to match real time facts. Failing to properly update this review vs. simply letting visitors read and offer corrections will lead to pissing matches that hijack your goals. Review on & we will follow.
Thanks,
Tom

Hey John I hope everything is ok in your part of the woods.
It’s been awhile since you took time to post your Review regarding Powur and I noticed that you haven’t Updated it to reflect the many changes Powur has gone through. In the beginning it was considered Powur 3.0 & now it’s 2.0.
From simply Powur, LLC (a public benefit corporation) to Powur Energy, LLC and as of this month Powur secured a General Contractors License to operate in California & Texas as – Powur Home Energy. It looks like we are now a Solar Installer & Solar Provider.
To be honest, I haven’t made much money since joining in 2018 for $299. as an Advisor ($300. plus some and that was from getting people to participate in 10 to 25 minute phone calls with a Powur Expert.) If someone would have gone solar I’d made about $500. plus the $25 to $40 for the initial call. Now, as a Consultant I am able to make about $3,335 per sale and the Expert makes the same. After 3 sales with a Mentor, I get the whole commission since I’m supposed to do it all solo.
If it’s cool with you, I would like to return here at your site and provide an update regarding my very first solar contract when & if there is one. Anyway, thanks for your time and yes please consider an updated review.
AND, please try to include a portion regarding the Financing part. Especially if you find any Solar Finance Companies requiring Senior Citizens to obtain a Family Stakeholder Agreement (co-signer) despite having paid off mortgages, cars and a job. *That lil issue came up during my phone call and it simply killed the prospect of going solar. It made me want to quit on the spot but I didn’t want to throw away the money and time spent. Kinda hard to sell Solar when you don’t have solar and actively avoid pitching to your fellow senior citizens knowing that they will be put through an embarrassing experience. Yes, we informed Corporate and they said they weren’t aware of this requirement but didn’t take any actions.
Note: as of last year the solar company that we talked to is not associated with Powur. Good riddings.
Thanks,
Tom in Texas

Hi there, was a while ago but you might want to look at this solar investing opportunity instead: https://goldretired.com/what-is-the-sun-exchange-thesunexchange-com-scam-legit

Hey John, I replied but it looks like you didn’t get it.
*I paid $299. to join/partner with Powur.
*I made $300. the first month simply by getting around 4 home owners to participate in 15 to 25 minutes conference calls.
Now, you can join/partner with Powur for $99. For licence, certification and training . And $49. per month for access to a virtual back office, mentorship and 70% commission.
Thanks
